180 Days<\/span>: After going through a counseling session with an attorney, <\/span>the credit counseling certificate of completion you receive is good for<\/span> 180 days<\/span>. If you don\u2019t file within this 180 day time frame, the certificate of completion will expire and you will have to re-take the credit counseling course and pay the course fee again. <\/span><\/p>\n

30 Days:<\/span> Once<\/span> bankruptcy has been filed, the <\/span>first payment to your bankruptcy trustee<\/span> will be due within 30 days<\/span>. <\/span><\/p>\n

45 Days<\/span>: <\/span>In about<\/span> <\/span>forty-five days<\/span>, the court will hold a formal creditor meeting. This will be an opportunity for you to testify under oath about information regarding your bankruptcy filing. <\/span><\/p>\n

Two Hours<\/span>: <\/span>This is t<\/span>he length of <\/span>the<\/span> required bankruptcy education course once your case has been accepted and discharged. <\/span><\/p>\n

Three to Five Years<\/span>: With Chapter 13 cases, this is the typical amount of time it takes to formally discharge bankruptcy. This is also contingent on <\/span>the<\/span> successful completion of the predetermined pay schedule. <\/span><\/p>\n
